Voting Information

September 16 – Primary Election – Polls at City Hall open at 7 AM and close at 8 PM.
City Primary Voting Details-Please Vote In-Person OR Use the Ballot Drop Box for Mail-In Ballots. Do Not Use The US Mail. We will figure out how to improve the election process BUT for now we all need a vote plan for the Annapolis City Primary, on September 16. Here are some details to help:
1. ALL Ward One in-person voting is at City Hall, 160 Duke of Gloucester. No, that is not the usual place, but it is the only place to vote in-person for this City primary. The City will have 6 parking spaces on Duke of Gloucester, and we will have volunteers to help you with the parking process in Hillman Garage which will have plenty of spaces. Please do not be intimidated by downtown parking to come out and vote on September 16th The polls are open 7am to 8pm. The best time to vote is between 10am and 4pm.
2. You may request a mail-in ballot no later than September 12th. Call410-263-7929. The ballot must be received on or before September 16th. If postmarked by then, and received by September 23, it will be counted.
3. If you requested a mail-in ballot, we have been told as of September 10th that all were processed and mailed to residents. Voters whose ballots are received will get a text or email message confirmation. If you do not get a text or email confirmation message, call 410-222-0409 or 0493 this week.
4. If you still do not have ballot, or you mailed a ballot and it is not received, here is what you can do: request a provisional ballot to vote. Put it in the Drop Box. It will be counted if your original ballot is not received or verified.
5. ALL early ballot voting should be put in a drop-box and not mailed. Why? Our postal service has been unreliable so the Anne Arundel County election board is telling everyone to put the mail-in ballot on in the locked drop-box, to make sure it will be counted.
6. WARD ONE Drop-Boxes are located at 160 Duke of Gloucester, City Hall. Please reach out to Annapolis25@katieforward1.com with any questions if you cannot reach a City election official and we will try to help. There is an important election. Please vote in the City Primary!
